Household Must-Haves
10 products I actually use every week
Some links in this post are affiliate links. Here's what that means.
There are a lot of “must-have” lists out there full of things people bought once and forgot about. This isn’t that. These are the items I actually use most weeks, and would buy again without thinking twice.
In the kitchen
A good set of glass storage containers earns its keep — leftovers, meal prep, snacks for the car. I also can’t recommend a decent silicone spatula set enough; the cheap ones melt, and the good ones last for years.
For cleaning
A refillable spray bottle and a stack of microfiber cloths replaced a cabinet full of single-use products. One all-purpose concentrate, diluted, handles most of the house.
For the kids
Stackable bins for toys make cleanup something the kids can actually do themselves. And a small label maker — I know, I know — turned out to be weirdly life-changing for the pantry and the playroom both.
How I choose what to recommend
I only put something on a list like this after I’ve lived with it for a while. If it didn’t survive real life in a busy house, it doesn’t make the cut.
I’ll keep this list updated as I find new favorites — and retire anything that stops earning its spot.
